Does USB 3.0 Work With 2.0 Port?

Does USB 3.0 work with USB 2.0 port? A lot of customers ask us about it, so here is the answer!

The answer is YES, sure it works. But, it will run with USB 2. 0 speed and you might also get a message about connecting to a faster port.

When you put an USB 3.0 in a 3. 0 port, it could take around 150 mbps but if you put 3.0 in 2.0 port, the device will only run at USB 2. 0 speed as that's all the USB 2. 0 can do.

To get USB 3.0 speed you need both a USB 3.0 port, and a device that supports USB 3.0. If you do not have both, then you will be limited to USB 2.0 speeds.
